2K27 Breaker Breaks Their Boxout
NBA 2K27 Breaker helps you crash through an opponent boxout. New Rebounding badge. It is not Cap Breakers, and it does not hold a seal you already have.
They have the seal. Get through it. Breaker is that crash. Holding a box you already have is Boxout Boss. Raising attribute caps is Cap Breakers, a different system.
Current for the NBA 2K27 MyPLAYER Builder reveal.
Through their box, not your own
Breaker is a new Rebounding badge. The official job is an easier time breaking an opponent’s boxout.
Three names people mix up:
- Breaker: you punch through their seal.
- Boxout Boss: you keep your seal.
- Cap Breakers: a 99 OVR preview in the Builder Glossary, not a rebound animation.
The ball still has a side. Crasher is your miss. Possession Closer is their miss.
| Action | Breaker covers it? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Crash through their boxout | Yes | Official job |
| Hold a box you already have | No | Boxout Boss |
| Extra Vertical on a timed jump | No | Sync Snatcher |
| Raise attribute caps after 99 OVR | No | Cap Breakers |
| Track an offensive miss with no box fight | No | Crasher |
Pair with a glass name. Do not swap them.
Breaker gets you past a body. It does not replace the board-side badges. If you never fight a box and only jump in space, spend on Crasher or Possession Closer first.
No break threshold published
Breaker is new. There is no last-year “break boxout” Gold row, and no published strength number.
The Builder shows the token cost for your size and position. See how badges work for slots.
Can Breaker hold a boxout I already have?
No. That hold job is Boxout Boss. Breaker only helps you get through their seal.
