2K27 Wall-Up Badge: Hands-Up Paint D
NBA 2K27 Wall-Up badge improves hands-up contests in the paint. It is a new Defense badge. See the stance it needs and how it differs from blocks or steals.
Wall-Up is not a steal badge, not a chase-down badge, and not a generic “play better defense” badge. It is tied to one stance: hands-up defense in the paint.
If your hands are not up, the published sentence does not apply.
Current for the NBA 2K27 MyPLAYER Builder reveal.
What Wall-Up does
Wall-Up is a new Defense badge. It improves shot-contest effectiveness during hands-up defense when you are guarding the paint.
That is a contest badge. It changes the quality of the hands-up challenge. It does not say you jump higher, recover faster, or bump the ball-handler off their line.
It sits in the defense group with Ankle Braces and Seatbelt. Those two are also new. Ankle Braces is about not getting broken down. Seatbelt is about bodying up a drive. Wall-Up is the vertical, hands-up paint contest.

How to test the stance
Wait until you can open the MyPLAYER Builder. The NBA 2K HQ app can do that from August 21. Deluxe and Ultra Early Access is August 26 at 9:00 AM PT.
- Put a MyPLAYER in a hands-up contest in the paint, not a jump-to-block.
- Confirm Wall-Up is in the defense inventory and note its token cost on that body.
- If a level label appears, write the label down. Do not reuse last year’s words.
- Compare it to Paint Patroller and Challenger on the same screen so you do not double-buy the same job.
Until you can do that, skip any “Wall-Up requirements” chart. Last year had no badge with this name, so there is no leftover row.
