2K27 Badge Tiers and Levels Explained
2K27 badge tiers and levels: Legend cannot be taken at create-a-player, but Synergy can push a badge to Legend. See what level and tier mean before you copy a chart.
“Tier” and “level” get used for three different jobs. Only one of those jobs is a strength rating on your player.

Three meanings, one word
- How strong one badge is on your player. Older pages use Bronze, Silver, Gold, Hall of Fame, and Legend for this. This year, one thing is explicit: you cannot take Legend at create-a-player. You can still earn Legend later. Synergy can push a badge to Legend with a +1 or +2 Fuse or Reaction.
- How a badge is grouped. Shooting versus Defense is a discipline, not a strength rating. There are six disciplines this year, including Physicals. See the list.
- A ranking of badges against each other. “S-tier badge” is a community ranking. It is not a game system.
If a sentence cannot tell you which of those three it means, it is not a fact you can build around.
What we can say without a number table
A stronger version of the same badge does more of the same job — a harder contest, a faster sprint, a cleaner standing three.
That strength follows attributes. Raise the right attribute and the badge gets available, cheaper in tokens, or stronger. Cap Breakers lift an attribute lid after 99 OVR, which is why they show up next to level talk.
The Builder is the place a level label can be read off a real body. This page will not paste last year’s Gold = 86 rows onto this year’s names.
Why last year’s labels are a bad copy
The pool changed by a third: 19 added, 6 removed, set shot split, Physicals added, tokens added. A publisher that rewrites the set that heavily usually rewrites the rungs too.
Writing “Legend Pace requires 94 Speed with Ball” stacks two guesses: the rung, and the number. Pace did not exist last year. Read both on the 2K27 Builder instead.
A “tier list” that scores the 53 names is an opinion. It is useful only when the writer can point to a playable Builder body, not a leftover 2K26 sheet.
