2K27 Work Horse Badge Recoveries
NBA 2K27 Work Horse badge helps speed and loose-ball recoveries. It is a new Physicals badge. See both jobs, when it sits idle, and how it differs from Flash.
Work Horse is one Physicals badge with two jobs: speed, and getting loose balls. If you never chase a floor ball and you never need that extra step, this badge is idle.
Current for the NBA 2K27 MyPLAYER Builder reveal.
The two jobs
Work Horse is a new Physicals badge. It helps speed and loose-ball recoveries.
Read both halves:
- Speed — you move faster on the floor. This is not a ball-handler sprint badge. Ball-in-hands sprint belongs to Pace.
- Loose balls — you recover the ball on the floor. A steal contest or a shot contest is a different badge.
Do not shrink this to “only when the ball is loose.” The official job list keeps both.
Who should skip it
- You never leave the arc and never dive on a floor ball — both jobs stay dark.
- You want transition without the ball — that sentence is Flash.
- You want contact fatigue on the other player — that sentence is Bruiser.
Some builds want Work Horse and Flash together. That is two token bills in Physicals, not one badge doing both hustle and transition.
What the Builder still has to show you
Work Horse is new. There is no last-year Gold row to copy.
The Builder shows whether your size can take it and how many tokens it costs. The requirements hub will not invent a threshold.
