2K27 Deadeye Shrinks the Closeout
NBA 2K27 Deadeye shrinks the contest penalty when a defender closes out. Returning Shooting badge. Open looks use other shooting names, not this page.
Someone is flying at you. Deadeye shrinks that closeout tax. An open catch-and-shoot is not this page.
Current for the NBA 2K27 MyPLAYER Builder reveal.
The closeout tax, not the open look
Deadeye is a returning Shooting badge. The official job shrinks the contest penalty when a defender closes out.
Two tests:
- A defender is closing out.
- You are still taking the jumper.
If the shot is wide open, spend on the standing or moving name that matches the animation: Set and Fire, Static Middy, Arc Cadence, or Smooth Operator.
| Contest | Deadeye covers it? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Defender closing out on your jumper | Yes | Official closeout-tax job |
| Wide-open standing three | No | Set and Fire |
| Wide-open standing mid | No | Static Middy |
| Hands-up paint contest you are making | No | That is defense: Wall-Up |
It does not add range
How far a three still counts is Limitless Range. A shorter shooter against long arms is Mini Marksman. Deadeye is only the closeout penalty.
Token cost stays on the sliders
Deadeye is returning, but 2K27 did not publish a public Gold number. Read the Builder for your size and position.
Why take Deadeye if I only shoot open?
You should not. Open shots want the standing or moving shooting name. Deadeye is for the closeout.
