2K27 Pace Badge: Ball-Handler Sprint Speed
NBA 2K27 Pace badge: 2K says it increases ball-handler sprint speed in all offensive situations. Unlock numbers are not published. Check back after the reveal.
Pace only matters when you have the ball and you are sprinting on offense. If you are off-ball, or you are the defender, this badge is not the one doing the work.
That trigger is the whole public fact. Everything else on this page is either 2K’s own sentence or a blank.
What 2K said
The official NBA 2K27 Roadmap, re-read August 18, 2026:
Increases the overall sprint speed of the ball handler in all offensive situations.
Three words in that sentence do the work:
- Ball handler — you are the one with the ball.
- Sprint speed — it is a movement badge, not a shot badge and not a dunk badge.
- All offensive situations — 2K did not limit it to transition, to the open floor, or to a specific play type. They also did not publish a list of exceptions.
Pace is one of nineteen new badges. It is one of only three with a public name. See the current list for the other two and for the sixteen that are still unnamed.
When it should fire — and when it should not
Use the trigger as a filter, not as a build plan.
| You are… | Pace is relevant? |
|---|---|
| Bringing the ball up or attacking off the dribble | Yes, if 2K’s sentence holds |
| Cutting, spotting up, or crashing without the ball | No — that is closer to Flash |
| Contesting a shot with hands up | No — that is Wall-Up |
| Playing in the half court as the handler | 2K said “all offensive situations,” so yes on paper |
“On paper” is doing a lot of work. 2K has not shown a clip, a Builder readout, or a patch note that measures how much sprint speed you actually get.
What is not published
Do not copy a 2K26 threshold onto this badge. Pace did not exist last year, so there is no leftover number to inherit.
- Attribute and height cutoffs: not published
- Level names: not published
- Whether a Cap Breaker can push you into a higher Pace: not published
- How it stacks with other movement badges: the other names are not even public
The requirements page stays empty until those numbers exist. If a chart already lists “Gold Pace = 86 Speed with Ball,” it invented the label and the number.
