2K27 Pace Badge: Sprint With the Ball

Pace only matters when you have the ball and you are sprinting. If you are cutting, spotting up, or playing defense, this badge is idle.

What Pace does

Pace is a new Playmaking badge. It raises the ball-handler’s speed while sprinting.

Read that as a filter:

• Ball-handler — the ball is in your hands.
• Sprint — you are running, not walking the ball up.
• Speed — it is a movement badge, not a shot badge and not a dunk badge.

The Builder lists it with the other playmaking badges. Token cost changes with your size and position. Those numbers live in the Builder, not on this page.

When it should fire

How it sits next to Flash

Pace and Flash are easy to mash together because both sound like “go faster.” They do not share a trigger.

• Pace: you have the ball.
• Flash: you do not, and you are in transition.

A handler who never gives the ball up cares about Pace. A wing who runs the floor empty cares about Flash. Some builds want both. That is a token choice in the Builder, not a ranking.

Pace is new. There is no last-year row to copy.

• The exact attribute line that unlocks it
• How large the sprint boost is at each level
• Whether a Cap Breaker moves the token cost
